Advantages: Effects are still okay Disadvantages: but they don't show any development, story is a bit weak, especially the ending. There's only so long you can watch people get chased by raptors.
actually transport the dinosaurs. While the photographic team is quiet and respectful, and leaves no trace of their being there, the second group takes a different approach - managing to piss off two t-rexes and many other breeds along the way.
Of course the dinosaurs start to eat people again - and there are no fences to hide behind this time.
Without giving too much away, the ending is very poor and has a very Godzilla-like feel to it.
To say that this movie was made fouryears after the original, the technology doesn't seem to have improved much, but then again, I don't think it needed to in the first place. I think is possibly one of two new species in this movie, and a couple of babies, but aside from that it isn't that different dinosaur-wise.
For a sequel, I would have liked to see more continuation of the cast flowing from one ...
Advantages: Some decent moments, somehow kept me watching until the end Disadvantages: Mostly really bad across the board
This is a DVD I picked up for £1 a couple of years ago. I suppose the price should have told me something, but I gave it a shot, hoping to have found a bit of a gem.
Face of Terror follows Nick Harper as he tries to find his missing sister in Barcelona. Ultimately, it's distinctly average in nearly every way. with a pretty mundane plot, some terrible acting, and some bad timing in the editing stakes. And yet, strangely, there's something intriguing about it ...
Advantages: Incredibly moving swansong for my fave band ever Disadvantages: Faith No More are No More
This was it, the final in a gripping instalment of challenging and satisfyingly diverse albums released by this incredible band of gifted musicians.
Faith No More were never a band to follow trends, but they did always grow with their audience. If 'The Real Thing' was for the teens, 'Angel Dust' for the smart twenty-somethings, and 'King for a day...' for a more mature age-group again, then this is the middle-age Faith No More. That is, incredibly challenging and mature. Although it should appeal to any with an ear for timeless music. A year after this, the band called it a day, and their ilk will not be heard of again.
They were a unique band in that, unlike a lot of bands today who chase fame and notoriety, FNM were classically-trained musicians, death metal fans, thrash fans, pop music fans, visionaries and masters of their ...
