For me, Ash are the only ones, the only guitar band doing the business at the moment. We are suffocated by pop music and rubbish rap metal like limp wristed, I mean limp Biskit. This is Ash’s 3rd proper album, and first one with the girl. It is far and away the best album of the year, and it kicks in with the up tempo and uplifting track Walking Barefoot, the lyrics might not make to much sense to be but if your driving you just want to crank up the stereo and wind the windows down. The magnificent single Shining Light is track two and is an absolute classic. If fact there is only one dodgy moment in 45 minutes worth of rock is Submission. Apart from the Shining light the standout track has to be Sometimes. It is a slow tempo guitar Ballard with magnificent lyrics.
