i have now owned my PS3 slim for just over a month, and could not be more pleased with my purchase. As a gaming machine it is fantastic, and in my opinion far better than the xbox 360. Unlike the xbox 360 the ps3 comes with built in wireless and internet gaming is free, which to me is a massive advantage for the ps3. the extra features on ps3 are vast, theres the blu ray player which gives outstanding picture quality with a 1080p tv, not only that but the ps3 slim is also a dvd upscaler, brilliant if like me you have a vast dvd collection that you can't afford to upgrade to blu ray. One of the most recent firmware updates gives you the ability to watch bbc iplayer through the ps3, no more having to watch to missed episodes of top gear on a tiny laptop screen. I got one last year for Christmas and found it to be better than my XBox 360 in almost every area, in my opinion this truly is the best games console on the market and would recommend it to anyone who is into their gaming. The graphics are phenomenal and the range of games available is tremendous!
I find the controllers are much easier and more comfortable to use than the other consoles on the market today i.e. xbox 360s controller has no area for the hands to get a grip of and is quite frankly annoying especially when using after the playstation 3, the rechargable controller function is a tremendous help as i was always buying batteries and having the hassle of inserting them into the xbox and now i simply plug into the playstation console and the charges up no problem, i can even use the controller while its charging!
