Advantages: up-cheering, famous songs Disadvantages: only 13 songs on the CD
...It seems to me, that often the soundtrack of a film is better than the film itself.
As you can see from my opening-sentence, I loved the music of "My Best Friend's Wedding". The songs fit of course to the story and are therefore only happy-romantic lovesongs. I especially worship "I say A Little Prayer", sung by Diana King and for the film also sung by a rough, wonderful soul voice, whose name doesn't appear.
The CD also includes the Film-Suite and famous titles like "What The World Needs Now..." (Jackie Deshannon).
So if there's a collection of sweet and up-cheering music missing in your CD-shelf, it's quite nice, not very demanding, but good for a romantic candle-light dinner, or for dancing ! ;)
But I think there are too few titles on the CD, only 13 (whole play-time about 40 min).
All togehter it's a soundtack worth enjoying...

Advantages: Helps you re-live a fantastic series Disadvantages: Some tracks do end sharply or repeat others
...For anyone who is totally addicted to Doctor Who - this album is for you. If you thought Series 1&2 original sound track was good, then this will blow you away.
Murray Gold has excelled himself once again, delivering a soundtrack high in passionate imagination-capturing content that really will take you back to The Doctor and his adventures.
The Album begins with All the Strange Strange creatures, which is a compliation of all the generalised music used in many episodes in the series. There are also more episode-specific tracks like Evolution of the Daleks and Boe. But some of these do end sharply (as heard in the TV series) and over lap into some of the more general themes.
There is also a track called The Doctor Forever which is done in similar vain to All the Strange, Strange Creatures and covers all the "Doctor" music used...

Advantages: Reunion of Friends is unbelievable Disadvantages: Spiders track not great to listen to as a CD
... Overview
This Harry Potter soundtrack took me a while to get into, especially compared to the Order of the Phoenix (Nicholas Hooper) where I was hooked from the start. But once I got into it I realised just how original and fantastic it is. The traditional HP theme is used on a few occasions although there are many new tunes created by the legendary John Williams - such as Fawkes the Phoenix. Here is a list of all the tracks on the CD and I have described a number of them below:
Tracks
1. Prologue: Book II And The Escape From The Dursley's
2. Fawkes The Phoenix
3. Chamber Of Secrets
4. Gilderoy Lockhart
5. Flying Car
6. Knockturn Alley
7. Introducing Colin
8. Dueling Club
9. Dobby The House Elf
10. Spiders
11. Moaning Myrtle
12. Meeting Aragog
13. Fawkes Is Reborn
14. Meeting Tom Riddle
15. Cornish...
