.... Rating: Not applicable Now I can finally come out of the DARKNESS and rise from HELL, back to the surface (gasping for air), having explored the contents of this CD. CONCLUSION 'IT'S DARK AND HELL IS HOT' is the best album that DMX has ever released and the subject matter of most tracks really live up to the album's title. Indeed, DMX sold around 3,000,000 copies of his debut album in 1998. The main advantages this album has, is that although DMX generally sounds intimidating, he delivers excellent lyrics that paint the real life of street violence and social issues. His lyrics on most tracks can be very entertaining (e.g. STOP BEING GREEDY), creative and sometimes conscious (e.g. LET ME FLY). Advantages: one of the ac/dc best albums
Disadvantages: bon scott's last album before he died

...ac/dc are one of the best and most popular rock and roll bands of all time, and that’s because no one rocks like ac/dc do, “highway to hell" was in my opinion the bands best album and when released in 1979 the band were on a high until very shortly after its release singer bon Scott died after choking on his own vomit whilst sleeping in a car outside a friends house after a night on the tiles. The band line up for this album consisted of the following Bon Scott (vocals) Angus young (guitar) Malcolm young (guitar) Phil Rudd (drums) Cliff Williams (bass) All the songs on this album were written by the young brothers and Scott and it was produced by Shania twains husband Robert john "mutt" Lange. Advantages: Some fun old style rock tracks
Disadvantages: Moments of naffness

...listen closely, which makes me think of "Friday Night" from "Permission to Land" sometimes, but largely this is a full on, up tempo rock number and only the Darkness would be cheeky enough to include the French word for garden several times in a song called "English Country Garden" and make it work. The album ends with another ballad in "Blind Man". It's another quite overblown number, with the orchestra again in attendance, and never really gets going as the rock song that you expect from the band. However, there are moments where the backing vocals sound like those on Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" and the overall feel is of "A Night at the Opera" style Queen.
