Advantages: Polished, non-stop, manchester rock at its best. Disadvantages: Leaves you wondering where they go next - how do you top this?
...From the word go this album is the business. It starts off loud and catchy and never lets up. The sound itself is very original but clearly takes its roots in nineties Manchester and anyone partial to the Stone Roses or the Charlatans will find themselves engrossed in the sounds. There are obvious stand out tracks in the head-pounding melodies of club foot and cutt-off but the slightly mellower (if no less enticing) beats of KSF are a joy to listenb to. The album moves towards its conclusion with, in my opinion, its best track, the haunting (and politically angled) ovary stripe which grips the listener and makes you want to press play again straight away. For me this is the best debut album since definately maybe and a CD collection is nothing without it....

Advantages: Very cool electro-funky sound Disadvantages: A little samey
...me feel tired. I have no idea why but it just does.
#8:Test Transmission
This is a Happier, more up - beat thrack than much of the album and wakes you up from the previous track. This also includes the synth - sitar, and is pretty funky.
#9:Pinch Roller
This is just another synthy interlude. Nothing special.
#10:Cutt Off
"John was a scientist, He was hooked on LSD". The first line of this track. A questionable start. But the song doesn't dissapoint. With another synth - Indie track, this track talks of a drugged up scientist, wanting to unleash all kinds of evil *rap on the general public. Definately a cutt above the rest...... Geddit!
#11:Butcher Blues
This song is yet another variation. It is a slow and (unsuprisingly) bluesy track wich is another one of my faveroute tracks. No synth - sitar though. Shame.
#12:Ovary Stripe
