Advantages: A really nice great hotel with great customer service and all you need. Disadvantages: Food is expensive (but worth price).
So we arrived tired from our 10 hour flight and the receptionist was really nice and friendly. Our room was amazing. It was massive with a nice big bed and telly. We had a balcony. The hotel is in the middle of downtown. It is across the room from the massive Eaton centre which is the main shopping centre in Toronto. The subway and bus stops are outside the hotel.
Room service is great and worth the money. Your order taker is friendly and proffessional. The waiter who delivers the food is always friendly and the food is presented on a tray with lots of little extras that you might need.
The hotel is very well presented and always clean tidy. All staff from bell boys to the maids always say hello to you when they pass you. Most hotels staff are friendly if you talk to them but here they are all friendly. When we first arrived we ...
Advantages: Huge Bed, Cable TV, 24 HR Room Service, Balcony, Telephone, En Suite, Air Conditioned Disadvantages: City Centre location so views not too great
After a fab flight direct from Manchester toToronto with bmi, I was looking forward to checking into the hotel and having some me time to refresh after the flight.
Upon arrival at the hotel I was amazed that such a large building was tucked away in the city centre of Toronto, I was quickly checked in by a member of the Reception team and with the help of a porter directed to my room with my luggage catered for by the porter.
With 1591 rooms and 27 floors this hotel is pretty vast but for a 4 star rating this hotel looked amazing, marble floors were throughout the reception area and the ground floor 6 lifts were available to take me to my room and I was sure that my room would not let me down.
I arrived at my room, ensuite with a King Size bed just for me, a television with cable was at the end of the bed next to the tea ...
Advantages: Instrumentally And Lyrically Sublime Disadvantages: None, Unless You're Not A Fan
For America, 1968 was one of the most turbulent times witnessed since the finish of the World War II, with counterculture growing in force and size, leading the charge against any form of authority or leadership. And it was rock music that was given the charge of railing against the forces, becoming almost another form of protest music, but with psychedelia instead of folk. And then in the same year as Electric Ladyland and The Beatles, comes Music From Big Pink, an album built around roots/folk-rock that was completely against the grain.
For a group that had previously been the backing band for Bob Dylan's infamous 1966 world tour that shocked its audience with its use rock backing for someone who was previously seen as the cover boy for folk music, this was not the expected route. But ultimately the album went on to inspire ...
