1. From the cradle to enslave: The reason i bought this ep. After seeing the video and having the song stuck in my head for what seemed like eternity i just had to have it. It has atmosphere and is still skullcrushingly heavy.
2. Of dark blood and f**king: This song is very fast for cradle although it has it's slow bits complete with choir. These just finish the song off perfectly. Once again tremendous lyrics even ... ...to the other songs. Apart from that, it's fantastic.

Six songs on an ep is good. Six different songs is great. Six songs of this quality is amazing. Worth every penny, it is full of every emotion and features songs that i feel, with the exception of Funeral in carpathia, could be released as singles. If you want something different to normal cradle or just something different then this is for you.

This really is an amazing e.p. Every song on it is amazing! The best way to explain it is to do it song by song so here we go.
1. From the cradle to enslave: The reason i bought this ep. After seeing the video and having the song stuck in my head for what seemed like eternity i just had to have it. It has atmosphere and is still skullcrushingly heavy.
2. Of dark blood and f**king: This song is very fast for cradle although it has it's slow bits complete with choir. These just finish the song off perfectly. Once again tremendous lyrics even if the song title seems a little immature the song is definately not. It is full of inteligence, what seems to be a reoccuring part of cradle's music.
3. Death comes ripping: Starting with an amazing scream this song is incredible. I thought it didn't sound like a normal cradle song so i looked it up and found it it's a misfits cover. It's fast and furious with attitude.
4. Sleepless: This is a cover of the originalsong by Anathema. It works great for cradle and although quite slow it still holds such emotion.
5. Pervert's Church(From the cradle to deprave): I love this. I don't have much knowledge of genres but it's a techno remix of a cradle song. It works so well. Unbelievably well. It somehow keeps a metal feel to it by keeping what sounds like palm muted riffs in the background. Whatever they do they do it well. Great song.
6. Funeral in carpathia (Be quick or be dead version): This is the worst song on this ep but it's still a great song. I think the drumming lets it down as it seems a little simple compared to the other songs. Apart from that, it's fantastic.
Summary
Six songs on an ep is good. Six different songs is great. Six songs of this quality is amazing. Worth every penny, it is full of every emotion and features songs that i feel, with the exception of Funeral in carpathia, could be released as singles. If you want something different to normal cradle or just something different then this is for you.

Advantages: some very good songs Disadvantages: some songs you may have heard before
One of the first things i noticed when i listened to this for the first time was that it only had 2 or 3 songs (half of the 6 track E.P.) that i hadn't heard before in some form and that it was quite short, but some of the previously mentioned songs, i'd only heard the new versions, remixed, and given a diferent name. they are far better on this E.P. "death comes ripping" is a fantastic song, this and "of dark blood and f**king" make the E.P. worth buying on their own. i soon realised that it didn't matter how long it was because the tracks are all brilliant. The title track "from the cradletoenslave" has a very catchy introduction and, like the other songs on the E.P is strongly based on religion, unfortunately only the next two tracks are as good. not worth paying £13 for in my opinion but it's got some good songs on it, it would be ...
this e.p is a piece of pure brilliance. the opening track (single)from the cradletoenslave offers great orchestral delights before cracking on with the usual C0F style. 'of dark blood and f**king' is next up with a flawlessly brutal 5 minutes of ecstasy. we then have songs such as 'death comes ripping', a short but brutal masterpice, along with 'perverts church', an almost dance track but with noo dance rythem just a set rythym with erie vocals. the same can be said to 'sleepless' as dani's howls and cries and constantly be heard in the background. the e.p ends with an old classic 'funeral in carpathia', which begins to relax you, but not too much, as the same CoF style is there, just not so heavy, but still thehaunting lyrics are heard. this album really is good, even though several of the tracks are not original. it is still worth it! ...
