Album Background ………………………
Tyketto formed initially through former Waysted lead singer Danny Vaughn, and former Waysted lead guitarist Brooke St. James. They released their first album, Don't Come Easy in 1991. As mentioned in my Vaughn, Fearless review, Danny left the band in 1996 to nurse his wife, who had cancer. In time, Vaughn would come back, but as a solo artist. Tyketto would continue with a different lead singer, which was former Tall Stories vocalist Steve Auger, who later went on to become lead singer for the band called Journey. Failing to have the same level of success given them with Danny Vaughn as lead singer, Danny was approached in 2003 for a project. This project was a collaboration that would bring back Tyketto with the phenomenal vocals of Danny Vaughn in the form of a new album called From the Inside.

From The Inside >>> The Phenomenal Album ………………………………………………………
2004 saw the release of this demon of a disc. I wanted to express to you, the reader; what Tyketto sounds like in this delightfully meaty album. Some of the answers I received were, "a spicier Bryan Adams when he was more rock orientated, but nicer vocals." or "A heavier version of Foreigner" was another response, "Similar to Nickelbacks," 'How You Remind Me' as well as remarks such as, "a more melodic and better talented version of Bon Jovi." Well to me these are all fair descriptions and very complementary, since I deem all those as good artists, especially foreigner. In fact, Foreigners Mr Moonlight album is an album that I equate to as being very similar, but a fair bit softer than 'From the Inside.'
The songs>>> La, La, La ………………………………
Not only are there tracks on this album written by the very experienced Danny Vaughn, but also by the legendary rock writing legend Desmond Child. Child has written for artists such as Bon Jovi, Meat Loaf, Cher, Aerosmith and Scorpions to name just a miniscule amount of his vast repetoire.
1. Nothing at All 2. Suddenly 3. Fight for Love 4. Losing Game 5. Damn 6. Stop 7. Relentless 8. Blessing in Disguise 9. Is Anybody Watching Me? 10. Always 11. Beautiful Goodbye 12. Nothing at All (video) 13. Danny Vaughn Video Interview
This album is by far the most melodic rock album I have ever heard in my life. It stems away from Danny's solo acoustic ballad, blues style rock, and jumps back to the tyketto style that some know and love. Beautiful electric guitar playing dominates this album, tracks like "Damn" (my favourite on the entire album) and "Fight For Love" are tracks where the guitar is almost weeping, it is lush gorgeous, melodic, catchy wailing guitar playing that grabs you in the pit of your stomach, and tries to consume you. \"Is Anybody Watching Me?\" is a mega ballad sung that many could relate too. It is very profound telling of how the world can't even fill the space when the woman he loves is not there. Danny has a beautiful voice especially for this genre of music. He sings with crystal clear clarity, and the lyrics are easily understood. This is by no means a heavy album along the lines of say Guns N' Roses. There is no screaming, yelling or grunting, just singing with some impressive note holding, and rip roaring passion. Not to mention the fact that the harmonies on the album are fantastic. These boys know how to make music, from the glorious days of the band Waysted much like Sammy Hagar and Whitesnake to the previous releases of Tyketto. These boys have matured and blossomed. They were beset by problems and arrived on the scene too late, but they would have achieved greatness, of which I have no doubt. There are no weak links on this album, every song is a thing of beauty, and makes an album that will rarely be remove from the CD player. Whether its my younger nephews or my friends that are old rockers, From the Inside as an appeal that extends the boundaries of ageism, because it tantalises the senses and has a youthful charm that as mass appeal and easily relatable.
Blimey is there anything else you should know? …………………………………………………………
HELL YEAH! The CD cover is a work of art and the case also comes with a cardboard protective cover. The cover promotes the fact that it is Danny on all vocals. Additional to this, as if the CD is not justification enough to buy the album, you get a poster with the CD cover picture on one side and an picture of Danny Vaughn on the other side. In case you may not have noticed on the CD is also a quality video interview, as well as a music video for "Nothing At All". For those that like to sing along the inside booklets does contain the lyrics to all the songs. I really recommend this album, it really is something very special.
