I would just like to write a review on Jools Holland Best of Friends, a CD with a DVD bonus pack on the king of rhythm and blues. We all know of him from his specials at New Year, along with the numerous shows that he does during the year. As the title does actually point out, this is all about Jools performing with his friends. The tracks on the CD are as follows, along with who actually performed them with him: 1. Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra - Tuxedo Junction. 2. Lulu - Where have all the good guys gone? 3. Chrissie Hynde - Out of this world. 4. reminiscence of glastonbury Jools Holland 2002

Jools Holland Time for a little reminiscence of Glastonbury Jools Holland and the Rhythm and blues orchestra were on Pyramid stage at 2.10pm on Saturday 2002 Perfect the music just right for a summer afternoon. A truly magnificent beat restful but at the same time compelling You just had to listen .I will be honest I can?t remember the names of the songs. I was a bit sleepy some of the time I just lay on the grass and just listened at others I would be compelled to stand up and dance the beat of the music just flowed through my body. It was a wonderful performance. Shall have to try and catch him and the blues band live again. A little about Jules. He was born in January 1958 making him only a little older than I. Review of Jools Holland

Jools-"everyone's beautiful!"

Advantages: Great to listen to
Disadvantages: about 2 tracks sound the same

Jools Holland is a dude-nuff said! I have nearly all of his albums, including the album of his lead singer, Sam Brown. I have had this album for about 3 years and I still love to hear it. It is just such a feel good CD, and the songs are lively, thought provoking, emotional, and fun! The songs<<<< Jools and his band have collaborated with many great musicians including Sting, George Harrison, Jamiroquai and the Stereophonics. What I also love about this is that Jools has done songs with his own band too, and one is Valentine Moon (which happens to be my favourite track) with Sam Brown. The songs themselves involve new versians of current songs, freshly composed tunes by the Jools and the people he plays with, or tunes Jools and his band do with the star guests.
