Subtitled “funk classics from sassy soul sisters” this album’s sentiment may have it’s heart in the right place, but it fails to describe the full picture here. These women are sexually, emotionally and vocally aggressive, leaving their men in no doubt as to who wears the trousers in their respective relationships. Each track here oozes raw sexuality, whether the role of the singer is that of a bored housewife (“Crumbs Off the Table”) or as sexual predator (“Your Thing Ain’t No Good Without My Thing”). The titles alone are sheer class.

A cd thats a couple of years old now but still fun to listen to.
I mean this cd says its meant to help you through the housework but I personally dont think it really does,if anything it distracts you,because you just start singing along to all the great tracks this album has to offer, you get caught up in the music and completely lose track of what you were doing - maybe a good thing in a way :-)
Housework vol1 is a double album that has some cracking songs that you just dont seem to hear on the radio anymore such as The Beach Boys - Help Me Rhonda and Don McLeans - American Pie.
The songs on this album just make you feel good and really help to lift your spirits,but I honestly think its marketed wrong,this is a feel good album for anyone just not people doing the housework.I dont think the title of the album really represents ...

Formed in 1969, the R&B and Funk band Con Funk Shun was a Northern California-based band popular through the seventies and eighties. The group, consisting of Michael Cooper (on lead vocals), Karl Fuller (trumpeter), Maceo Harrell (saxophonist), Cedric Martin (bassist), Felton Pilate (guitarist), Louis A. McCall (drummer), and Danny ?Sweet Man? Thomas (on keyboard), brought out albums from as early as 1973 and didn?t stop until the late eighties.
