Review: What can I say? Justin Timberlake is my favourite artist and will always be after this sensational album. Most of the singles released have been his better songs but this album overall is fantastic. Each song is quality in its own right. I especially love the preludes and interludes, which help link the songs in the album together.
After success from Justin's first album, we have had to wait an extraordinary four years for this one. It was worth the wait. Some of these songs will go down as one of the best in history. There is some great beat added from Timbaland, as well as a fusion of pop, rap and dance music.
JT has proved that he has the amazing talent to do great things by himself. There
isn't really a weakness in this album. Unlike Justified, this album has more quality songs, beats and lyrics, which are all deserved to go in this album. Justin has learnt a lot from four years ago and though some may argue that Timbaland has had too much of an effect on Justin, well who hasn't. I believe it is a great collaboration and this album proves it.
Song-by-Song analysis: FutureSex/LoveSound Is interestingly, I believe, the worst track on this album. It isn't bad; it just isn't a good opener. It takes too long to settle in and I must admit that after I heard this, I didn't know what to really expect from the rest of the album. 5/10
Sexyback Is great in it's own right. If you bought the album after hearing this single, well done! It is an unusual type of sound, but it worked and luckily enough, it casts away the shadow of the 'boring' first song. With great beat, it sets you up for the rest of the album. 8/10
Sexy Ladies/ Let Me Talk To You (Prelude) This is an OK song. Above Average. But the best thing about this is the prelude. It is repetitive, and ultra beaty, again leading you to the best song on the track and one of Justin's best songs ever-My Love. 6/10
My Love Genius, pure genius. T.I. plays a big part in helping this song come alive with its dancy tune and the vocals are excellent. This is JT's best song by far, ever and will never be forgotten. 11/10!!!
Lovestoned/I Think She Knows (Interlude) Another great song and this isn't far behind one of his best songs ever! With a Jackson sorts of sound, LoveStoned is a very good track. It is sort of slow and the lyrics can get down on you a bit. But it is one of those songs that you must listen to a few times before you begin to respect its excellence. Again, the wonderfully combined Interlude helps this song along and makes it better. In fact, to be honest, I believe the feeling that the interlude is sung in, makes it overshadow the song slightly and is a touch better! 8/10
What Goes Around Comes Around (Interlude) Due to the simple fact that many can relate to this outstanding song, it is my second favourite on the album. Great vocals and lyrics and another great interlude make this song fantastic. It is sung with such sentiment, that it entices you to read on as such, only you're not reading but listening. 9/10
Chop Me Up More on the side of the collaborates, this is a good kind of hip-hop song. At the beginning you may wonder what its doing on such a calm and smooth album, but don't be fooled…listen on and you will find hidden Mr Timberlakes voice and only then will you appreciate it's importance in the album. Not only does it add some variety to the album, but it also helps us recognize the greatness of Timbaland and how far he has brought JT with his collabs. 7/10
Damn Girl Great Repetition makes this song what it is. Timbaland's great work again shows and I needn't speak more about this song. The high-pitched voice is amazing and this is really a good song. 7/10
Summer Love/Set the Mood (Prelude) As this hasn't come out as a single, people wont have heard of it, but it deserves to be heard of. It has great music and the song is fab. The only real thing that lets it down is for once the prelude, which completely slows down the extraordinary tempo of this track. 8/10
Losing My Way, All Over Again & Pose These three tracks are all good in their own respect. Losing My Way is good due to the background music but listening to it too many times makes it bad, All Over Again has great piano music but is different and Pose isn't the best song ever but again this is because of the rubbish Snoop. I don't know why people feature him in their songs. He's just spoilt the album for JT but I'm sure all us big Justin fans will forgive him for that slight drib. 6/10
Overall, this is my favourite album of the year! If you have read my other reviews, you will realize that I tell the story as it is. The review I did on the NeYo's Because of You album said that only a handful of tracks were good. On this album, every track is good and some are exceptional.
Justin has done himself no harm here and it is much better than the first album. Some credit should be given to Timbaland. I hope you agree, these two make a weighty collaboration and hopefully JT comes out with another soulfunking album very quickly.
A Must Buy. 100% Amazing Excellent Outstanding Mindblowing!

Advantages: There are some distinctive, quality songs that follow Justified very well. Disadvantages: Too many forgettable tracks that are ruined by pointless rappers
