When you have also had several albums with a chart topping boy band, the pressure must be huge. Plus, Justin Timberlake has had a multi-million selling debut that must be a mass of pressure. Under all this pressure, has he created an album that critics will rate or simply slate? Futuresex/Lovesound***** The opener of 'FutureSex/Lovesounds' is like an 80's Prince song meets Michael Jackson if he had ever done sexy rather than freakish. ...copies worldwide. It was thus a four year wait before this very album came about, and 'FutureSex/LoveSounds' was definitely worth the wait. Kicking off with title track 'FutureSex/LoveSound' - the album starts as it means to go on; a great track with a chilled out vibe and incredible chorus. This one will have you singing along in no time, opening the album in style and leaving you excited about the sound the rest of the album will bring about. From here, we move on to the album's first single 'Sexy Back' and once again the album does not disappoint. It is 'Sexy Back' that first attracted me to the album - although at first I wasn't too sure about it, I soon found myself singing it when I least expected it. Advantages: Lyrically superior to their other releases
Disadvantages: Godzilla!

...this without making them too depressing or focusing too much on the events they have had to deal with. At times, I feel a bit like an intruder when I am listening to their songs as they are just so personal, but with songs like this, it seems like Grant is beckoning the listener in, as he wants them to truly experience the song rather than just listening to it and letting it wash over you without realising it's importance. Title track 'Comfort In Sound' is one of the landmark tracks on this album for me. It is one of the tracks which is more obviously written about the events surrounding Lee's death, and how the band, Grant in particular found solace in the music. He sings about recognising what has gone by being able to look to the future, whilst fighting against the turbulence in his emotions. It does provoke a lot of emotion depending... Read review
