Advantages: Some great tunes, top vocals, Disadvantages: bit too long, no good for people who hate ballads!
...JIMMY EAT WORLD
FUTURES
2004
-----------------------------
Jimmy Eat World are one of those bands that nobody knew for years then suddenly they have a breakthrough album and suddenly they are in everyone’s cd collection.
Well they are back again with a new album, and a bit of a new sound.
The band formed way back in 1993, and did some tours released some Ep’s and just generally gained a small fan base.
In 1994 they released their debut album, which was self titled and released on a small Indie label.
After this the band was quickly signed up to Capitol Records, and released second album ‘Static Prevails’ in 1996.
This was a very rough, quite punky affair which had its moments but ultimately was a slight let down.
On to 1999 and the bands third album ‘Clarity’, and here we see the band sounding completely different...

Advantages: Massively melodic and hugely energetic and entertaining music. Disadvantages: I fail to think of any.
...Jimmy Eat World formed way back in 1993, however it was not until some years later that they'd become the household name that they are today. 'Pain' was the single chosen to lead this album and also released were the tracks 'Work' and 'Futures'. 'Futures' is perhaps the weakest of those chosen to be singles and proved...

Advantages: Superb raps to great beats Disadvantages: None
...The Future is Now is a truly awesome hip hop record by Brooklyn outfit Non Phixion (Ill Bill, Goretex, Sabac Red, Dj Eclipse) backed by quality beats from a plethora of artists including Necro and Dj Premier. This band first got going in the mid 90s but couldn't find a label, amazingly it wasn't until 2002 when this first album was relesed.
But what a stunning debut album it is, not one for the youngsters though with a fair bit of profanity, this album covers lots of subjects but has a political focus throughout.
The two tracks that really stand out are Black Helicopters and The C.I.A is trying to kill me, obviously being quite a big fan of guitars - I quite like the latter version on the album which is rocky. Having selected those tracks out of the pack, I don't mean to undermine any of the other tracks which are all pretty good...
