Advantages: Putting money in poor, poor Louis Walsh's pocket Disadvantages: You're wasting your money
...mother came home with the G4 and Il Divo albums, I was mortified! “You’re just putting more money in that over-paid Louis Walsh’s pocket!” I cried. Let’s face it, any group or individual who goes on a program like “X-Factor” can’t be very good because no talent scouts have picked them up yet and they’re desperate- although how many talent scouts would actually go to Butlins looking for talent!? The album cover is quite boring- plain white with a ... ...World” head-banged to it, but G4 have officially ruined it! The formula for this song is identical to that of every other manufactured musicians- you have the lead singer and his stooges, sorry, backing singers. “Jonathan” (I wouldn’t know that had I not looked inside the CD sleeve) is like the Ronan Keating of Boyzone and the other three guys are like Mike, Keith and Shane (we discount Stephan Gately because he sometimes got to sing words instead ...

Advantages: Brings music to everyone's ears! Disadvantages: Maybe not everyone's favourite but that will soon change!
...but when I first heard G4 on X-factor I was converted. I couldn't wait until G4 got signed and they released their first album, this one! Absolutely fantastic. It's your usual classical / operatic music with a hint of pop thrown in. The band is made up of four smashing guys although unfortunately you tend to hear mostly from Jonathan (blonde haired one). This will definately appeal to the young and old!
The album consists of 12 songs and really ... ...5 times in a row before I finally got dragged away from it.
1. Bohemian Rhapsody - It mad me giggle, listening to four buff men doing a version which you would only ever imagine Queen doing. You have to see the video of this too, HILARIOUS!
2. Nessun Dorma - One of those songs your either love or hate normally but it's actually good coming from G4. Vocals are amazing.
3. Everybody Hurts - One of those songs that usually bring a tear to your eyes ...

Advantages: Relaxing, easy-listening, brings classical music bang up to date Disadvantages: not everyones cup of tea!
...POP vibe there is the G4 rendition of Radiohead's 90's chart-buster "Creep" and also "Circle Of Life" which begins with great acoustic vocals.
If you choose to buy this album you are essentially agreeing to become a fan of the ever increasing trend in "pop-orah" music (a fusion of modern pop with timeless classical). If you are a fan of other bands in a similar category (i.e. Il Divo) you will probably enjoy this album, and even if you don't - you ...

Advantages: Can have a laugh if nothing else Disadvantages: most of the songs, and now actually have a picture
...X Factor, i thought that G4 weren't that bad, infact I thought they sang a few good songs, and i thought hit me one more time was hilarious, as were some of the clothes they wore.
I have to admit the best description of G4 that i have heard has got to be from Chris Moyles, and its not that complimentary. Basically he says that 2 of them should sing behind a brick wall, and another behind frosted glass, so that you can only really see one of them. ... ...I have to admit is funny. I don't know why but when i listen to it I just have to laugh, maybe it's that squeaky voice trying to sing Bohemian Rhapsody, or maybe its because i can actually picture the face of the blond one's head movements when he sings. I also think that the beginning of the circle of life is just funny, i don't think any of them can speak any foreign language, cos whatever they say at the beginning is totally different to what ...

Advantages: Absolutely none Disadvantages: Where do i start
...the best bands around, Radiohead. G4 succesfully manage to murder it, and when i heard these singing it on tv, i had to immediately listen to the radiohead version to reassure myself of it's greatness. It's not only bad enough that they sing the classic songs by queen, radiohead etc. but the fact that they cut them short such as bohemium rhapsody being almost cut in half shows a lack of respect to the song itself. I haven't got much else to say about ...

Album Notes: This is the self-titled debut from 2004 X-Factor runners up G4. The album sees the boys take on various contemporary and classical songs and re-work them into their own mix of opera, pop, and rock. The album includes their popular renditions of Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody', Radiohead's 'Creep', and 'Nessun Dorma', all of which were performed in the X-Factor final.
