Advantages: Classic Elvis music , good value , great songs , Elvis in his prime Disadvantages: May be dated for some
In 1960 a brown parcel arrived at our house addressed to my 13 ½ year old sister . No-one in the family , apart from my sister, knew what it contained .We sat at the living room table and she opened it .Bursting with curiosity we all watched .
It contained an official letter from the Elvis Presley fan club stating that , my sister was now a fully paid-up member of the Elvis Presley Fan Club . It contained all the Photographs , Posters and other ... ...few days later my sister arrived home with my dad after a shopping trip . She had bought her very first L.P. (long playing record to you young things ) . It was G. I .Blues by Elvis . Well we all enjoyed it immensely . My sister and I danced around the house every day for a month . I couldn't do it now for a minute .
Now , 46 years later , my sister has still got that L .P . I on the other hand was a teenager of the 1960`s and went on to other things ...
