I took it home and listened to A New England a few times and then i listened to a few other tracks, I have had it about 6 months now and i absolutely love all the songs and i can't stop listening to them. Galore reached number 6 in the UK Album charts and remained in the top 75 for 27 weeks. The Tracks:

A New England- This is a real favourite of mine. It is very 80's music and if you are into that sort of thing(like me) you will love it. The song is all about growing up and how people grow up at different times. In this case Kirsty is the girl who hasn't grown up and people are ...

Advantages: Too many to mention - simply a thoughtful and fun album Disadvantages: None for the Kirsty fan!
...understatement about life. Galore really is the ‘best’ of MacColl’s back catalogue and is an album that I like to play more than regularly. When I heard of her death I didn’t want to play it anymore because the joviality and pure glee that you instantly get in ‘galore-like’ quantities from all these tunes would not have seemed right somehow. After a couple of months though I did play it. I had to play it. I NEEDED ... ...humble little-me would say that Galore is like a seriously wonderful bottle of champagne; a rich, meaningful fizz that makes you burp and laugh and is worth all the quids you can afford. And that’s the type of thing we all need in life, well, at least from time to time.

Advantages: Great pop songs, meaningful lyrics, wonderful voice Disadvantages: Sadly no more
...In 1995 the album Galore was released and drew upon her entire career up to that time. In my opinion this is the Kirsty MacColl album to buy if you've never bought one before. Her songs are about real people's lives and show that there is a place for great pop music amongst all the musical genres. All the tracks on the album are good, it’s a real classic, so I’ve identified a few of my favourites to show what a wonderful singer song-writer ... ...TRACK LISTING FOR GALORE 1. They Don't Know 2. Advantages: classic tracks in country, pop and hip-hop Disadvantages: no longer with us ...
I remember the day I bought Galore, it was in the January sales, 1997 and there I was in Woolies feverishly delving into the cassette "bargain bin". I couldn't believe I'd found something I actually wanted and paid something like a measly £2 for my cassette.
This has been played so much I'm amazed the tape hasn't snapped! I keep this at work and it cheers up a dreary day no end. I hadn't really heard many of Kirsty's songs other than New England ... ...myself in her sometimes witty, always worldly lyrics with relish.
Kirsty Maccoll was born 10 October 1959 in Croydon. For many years I believed her to be Irish, don't know why! Her mother Jean, a dance choreographer and her father the folk singer Ewan Maccoll, Kirsty wasn't into folk music and first stepped into music through the punk scene beginning her career in a band called Drug Addix in 1978.
In 1979 she brought out her debut single "they ...

So, as you can see, Galore came at a great time to sum up the second part of their career.
I have detailed below the track listing and given each track my usual mark out of five. I hope this helps you.
1. Why Can't I Be You?
Infuriatingly catchy. A big brass riff dominates this tune and the percussion speeds along at 100mph without ever sounding too manic. Robert is his at his crazy best on the vocals and this is a rare slice of exhuberant joy from the usually-miserable Surrey lads. (4/5)
2. Catch

Advantages: 97.4% better than a lot of stuff out there at the minute Disadvantages: The CD doesn't make a very good ashtray
...their flag firmly in the soft brown earth of ‘Galore’, and as we all know, pop and indie are two entirely separate things. Still, they’ve done themselves 97.4% proud, and in today’s world, that can’t really be classed as a bad thing, can it?
Verdict
Hurrah! And again, hurrah! An album that would surely be classed as this summer’s soundtrack were it not for Chungking, but never mind, Dragonette are more approachable and accessible in my opinion (the only one that counts, really). If you can forgive the occasional forays into pretension and the odd misfiring cylinder, then you’ll have no problem absorbing the jokey sneer Martina and the boys are throwing over their collective shoulder at you. There’s a lot worse out there (Arctic Monkeys for instance, who are swindling their way into peoples hearts), and not an awful lot that are better...

Advantages: One of the best 007 soundtracks ever Disadvantages: ...
...is also one of the best James Bond's ever (being also my favourite), featuring such memorable characters like Oddjob, Goldfinger and Pussy Galore. The film also featured the more prominent use of gadgets created by Q, like the little transistor-tracking devices and Bond's gadget-laden Aston Martin DB5, the most famous Bond-car to-date.
In 2003, 16 of the original Bond soundtracks were reissued, most of them also containing bonus material absent from the original releases. They have been remastered and with detailed sleeve-notes, makes these very desirable for a Bond fan, if not so much for a casual film score collector for the quality of the scores vary greatly. Personally there are only a very few Bond soundtracks that I find at all interesting, this being a notable exception.
