Advantages: Highly varied Disadvantages: A couple of tracks weren't as strong as the rest
..."L.A.X."(Life and Times) is the third, and supposedly final, album by the Compton rapper, The Game. I say 'supposedly' because many rappers have claimed to be retiring in the past, but it doesn't happen too many of those times, so I doubt that an artist with only three albums under his belt and a record label with no mainstream artists will just call it quits.
1. "Intro"
2. "LAX Files"
The Game kicks the album off in a big way as he challenges all the fake thugs out there who have no idea of waht it's like to be subject to a Gangsta lifestyle; where your life is constantly under threat. With a haunting piano to back it up and the utilisation of the screwed techinque, you feel intimidated by the lyrics which he comes out with, making those who it is directed to question whether they should continue to do so.

Advantages: Some enjoyable rap tunes Disadvantages: The Game didnt really write this album it was mostly 50 Cent
...Dobmeier. Mixed by Dr Dre. Mix engineer Mauricio Iragoori.
~ The album ends unfortunatly with another depressing tune with low violins in the backround with another slow beat. Games rap is actually good in this one as he talks more about his life. An appearance from famous rapper Busta Ryhmes aswell but he only does the chorus which is ok. I think it would be better if he had a verse it would make the tune a lot better. Not bad.

The Game-The Documentary
Well to sum it up it started off really well and there are a few classic hip-hop beats in there but as the album went on and actually after the best tune (WE AINT feat.Eminem) it kind of just died and it was a dissapointing end to a good album. The Game has sold well on this album but he had so much help...

Advantages: Westcoast Rapper, Great Beats, Superb Collaborations, Dr Dre Disadvantages: Too Much 50 Cent
...After hearing The Game on previous mixtapes and how he intends to put the west back on the map, I was very hyped for his debut album. I pre-ordered it so I got it on the day of release and 7 months later I don't regret it one bit. Every song on the album can be listened to without having to press the skip button, apart from maybe Track 12 'Runnin' which features G-Unit member Tony Yayo, which is easily the worst song on the album. The best song on the album is Track 5 'Higher' which can be listened to many times over without getting boring.
'The Documentary' features some quality guests such as Eminem, Dre, Snoop, Nate, Busta, Mary J Blige and Faith Evens. It also has beats by the best Hip Hop Producers around which include Dre, Cool, Timbo, Scott Storch, Hi-Tek, Focus, Just Blaze and Kanye West. Just the guests and producers only...
