Advantages: Top Tunes Disadvantages: some is great to dance to BUT dull to listen to
...How to judge a dance record is a moot point, since dance music is meant to be constantly changing meaning that a record made in 98 must automatically be out of date. Well I don't know whether this would still be appreciated at a club but at a party or listening on your own stereo this is still a good (but not great) record.
The songs we all know "Right hee, right now", Rockafellar Skank, gangster tripping and No#1 Praise You are all present and correct and sound magnificent showing fatboy's skills at finding obscure old records cutting them up and pasting them to a big beat sound. The problem is that not all the other tracks live up to this high standard with tracks suc as acid 8000 and love island more club based and therefore dull just to listen to.
Still buy this for praise you by itself its worth it...

Advantages: Excellent beats/rhymes, skills Disadvantages: very good at first but the ending tracks start to dry up
...The album is in great contrast with that of others and fans that loved that album will be extremely disappointed with what free has done with the songs on this album. Fans of the ROC will be able to appreciate the album because it is very similar in organization, style and approach. There is a mixture of what the critics and pundits are calling "Pop Rap" and the gangster rap that we saw in the young free when he first came out. Songs such as the intro and "freeway" show that free has not completely washed the gangster style rap out of his system. As in a lot of songs on this album, tales of murder and drugs are told in these tunes and his new fan group will not appreciate this at all....

Lick a shot!! Review ofGangster And A Gentleman, A [PA] - Stylesby
stevenpeterduffy
Advantages: CLever ,Nice, Ill Disadvantages: LIttle to dry for the in the club posse
...Styles P a gangster and a gentlemen...
And in this solo album he begins to show the maturity y both as an individual a man and as an artist. Ive always been a fan of the lox even though people said they were boring i knew that Big and Puffys protoges would grow up to be big ballers in the rap game.
On that level the infamous holiday styles really hold his own.
This is grown ass gangster rap no longer the hungry street cat ready to bust on any mother and lay em down for a love of the money but an older wiser ready to bust out hot metal raps but at he time explore his reality on an adult level..
The production from the ruff ridas camp is excellent as ever and styles gets help tearin up from the likes of Jadakiss and Pharoe Monche..
Quality album if you like the dry east coast lyricism!!...
