desert-rock, Mariachi and dub influences, Tucson outfit Calexico have taken joyous quantum leaps, jumping from low-key, marmalade-coloured vignettes (their debut album Spoke) to more vivid palettes on LPs such as Hot Rail. Garden Ruins represents the bands most populist statement yet. Assembled during and after their superlative collaboration with Iron & Wine (In The Reins) and a high profile tour with Wilco, the project connects with a wider musical picture--that of the classic American songbook. The band avoid conjuring the busual Southwestern vistas in favour of more direct (and less exotic) styles like pop, rock and folk. It could have all been so terrible but in fact its one of the best decisions the band ever made: from the easy-going lope of "Lucky Dime" to the bombastic thrusts of "Letter To Bowie Knife" and "All Systems Red", Garden Ruin is hugely palatable (not to mention surprisingly political), marking yet another zenith for Tucsons most sonically nomadic sons. --Paul Sullivan

The ruins is a horror film that was released in 2008, directed by Carter Smith and starring Jonathan Tucker, Shawn Ashmore, Jena Malone, Laura Ramsey and Joe Anderson. The book was originally based on a Novel that was written by Scott Smith. I had the pleasure of watching this film, last week, and I was one of mixed feelings. At times this film was brilliant, a fresh new plot, which didn't have any ghosts, or villains, but at times it was hard to pick up the film, in the sense that there were moments were the film slowed down. A great horror film should be one that has a constant flow to it, one that constantly keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Plot:
So the film starts of in a dark cold place, the viewers see a woman, who is trapped in a dark dungeon type area, one that looks more like a well, or a cave. She tries to call for help ...

Advantages: Small traces of tension Disadvantages: It's a shambles
Amy (Jena Malone), her best friend Stacey (Laura Ramsay) and their boyfriend?s Jeff (Jonathon Tucker) and Eric (Shawn Ashmore) are on holiday in Mexico when they meet and make friends with a German holidaymaker Mathias (Joe Anderson), Mathias informs them of some beautiful ancient ruins which only a select few lucky people ever get to see because they are so remote.
When they arrive at the ruins, Mexican locals appear from nowhere on horses wielding guns and arrows, they shoot a young boy from their own tribe after Amy throws something to distract the gun men which hits the boys. The group of teenagers manage to escape and end up at the top of a temple, all that?s there is an abandoned camp and a well, they hear a phone ringing down the well so they hoist Mathias down there, the rope snaps and he breaks his back. When the girls go ...

Advantages: strong, versatile, compact, nice bright colours, fun to play with Disadvantages: none so far
I decided to buy the in the night garden ninky nonk train set from Amazon as my young daughter is a big fan of in the night garden and whenever it comes on TV she gets really excited. So as my daughter already had some of the other characters from the show I wanted her to have the whole set and since buying it the train set the ninky nonk train set has become one of her favourite toys to play with on a daily basis.
The train set can come apart and be attached on many different ways and my daughter enjoys looking at the nice bright colours and putting some of the other in the night garden characters onto the train set even though it keeps falling of now and again it keeps her busy and sometimes I hear her in fits of giggles. The train set is very cute and versatile and its great as children such as mine can have hours of fun with it ...
