Genesis - Another brilliant unnoticed game!

Advantages: Very enjoyable, good graphics
Disadvantages: Might be hard to learn to play

Genesis was just one of those cheap games I picked up in a deal on unpopular games. Its another one of those great games that nobody seems to take notice of, but really should. Since I bought Genesis I became completely obsessed. In Genesis you can explore the universe, and it looks absolutely amazing!!! The graphics are quite good, and the whole feel of the game is quite enjoyable. I personally love the whole concept of growing biological spaceships; its such an interesting concept and it makes me wonder if it would ever happen for real! The game itself can take a while to grasp, but its fairly addictive once you get into it. The only thing that put me off is that when I got to a certain point I just got stuck, and I gave up. But I guess that happens to me with most games! Anyway, I'm rambling. All in all, Genesis is a very good game ...

Review of Genesis Rising (PC)

From Genesis to... Exodus

Advantages: Original, inventive, musically inspired
Disadvantages: Phil Collins joined the band

Genesis' style during these early albums ranged from a primitive psychadelic pop sound on the first album, through to ever more grandiose soundscapes, eventually culminating in the "Selling England By The Pound" (1973) and "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" (1974) albums- the latter was in fact a double album. Throughout this era, Genesis played with epic soundscapes and songs in excess of 20 minutes long, including the bizarre "Supper's Ready" which is worthy of a listen even if you might not like this kind of music. Genesis at this point were wildly inventive, with every song springing a number of surprises on the listener. In 1975, Peter Gabriel quit the band, eventually resurfacing in the late 1970s with a solo career that became critically acclaimed if not quite as successful as Genesis were to become ...

Advantages: Classic Dalek story of '75
Disadvantages: Not many for a Who fan

Genesis of the Daleks Radio Times Billings ? This has illustrations, articles, and listings for this story from the BBC Radio Times magazine from 1975. This is only on DVD-ROM to be viewed on a PC/MAC The Doctor Who annual 1976 ? This has every page of this annual from 1976 to look at from your PC. These annuals were made every year from the 1960?s until the mid 80?s. Photo Gallery ? This has quite a lot of photos from the making of the series, from outside shots, studio shots, action shots, and covers quite a range of material. My opinion of the DVD ? As I have always loved Dalek stories and grown up watching Doctor Who I found this story to be one of the best ever made, I like the way that it was set in a war torn Skaro during the Daleks creation and the way the characters are in the story.
