Advantages: Original and fresh, something new Disadvantages: Can get repetitive
...again through out the years I would seem. This epitomises what the album is about, really. A mixture of Nu-Metal and melody, of wistful Opera and broody indie. The third track is ‘Everybody’s Fool,’ which is another toe-tapper with loud guitars and great melody and next up we have the gentle, ‘My Immortal.’
Track Five is ‘Haunted.’ This is an interesting song, mixing all qualities of which this band are about. The second part of the album kicks off with the stomping ‘Tourniquet.’ Ben Moody’s guitar playing really shines here with a brilliant riff that you will keep humming for a while after and wanting to press ‘Repeat.’ The sixth song on the album is ‘Imaginary.’ This one is another goodie that emphasized Amy’s great vocal talent.
Next up is ‘Taking over me,’ which is a bit clichéd and here we start to feel that the songs are beginning...

Advantages: Morrissey's best solo album Disadvantages: You might not like Morrissey!
..."I bear more grudges
than lonely high court judges" became somewhat ironic when 3 years later Morrissey (and Johnny Marr) were sued by ex-Smiths drummer Mike Joyce (Joyce was not happy with his percentage share of Smiths royalties) and taken to the High Court. 7/10

Advantages: Perfect adult pop, great arrangements, some brilliant songs Disadvantages: vocally weak at times, a couple of weaker tracks

'Amorino'. The title track is a sad lament and decorated with flute. It has a very Europen sound to it and this is further reitereated by the fact that the majority of the lyrics are in French. It is a gentle opener on a gentle album but is melodic and creeps inside your head after a few listens.
'The Breeze Whispered Your Name'. Driven by a heavy double base line Isobel whispers the words...
