Advantages: Exciting, unusual, family show

...right out into the middle of the Hall and the view from the stalls is excellent. Through the show two singers gently support each scene with haunting, operatic almost, beauty. Once started the show lasts for an hour with a 25 minute interval followed by another 45 minutes. You will, during that time, be amazed at the trapeze acts, stunned by the juggling skills of very young Chinese boys, in awe of men which simply "fly" around the Hall and your hands won't stop clapping at the finale when people are literally launched skyward by giant swings into huge "sheets". My advice is to go and experience this for yourself. Get in your seat early as there is a very funny pre-show, which if you are a little on the late side, you may find yourself appearing in! One thing to watch - if you are in the stalls, you cannot take alcoholic beverages... Read review

...who is a giant In the Rock world and a natural performer. However, this album threw up some surprises, mostly very good ones - especially on 'Best of you' which sounded fantastic with its orchestral backing. If you are new to their music, then this could be a good introductory CD as it is a gentle introduction to their music - with only one of their grittier songs (Times like these) appearing. The performances included songs from most of their albums, with the majority coming from the 'slow' disc on 'In your honour'. Also included was an original Nirvana song 'Marigold' and a song new to me 'Skin and Bones' - the title track. Tracks 1. Razor Originally from 'In your honour' - 2005 Already a favourite of mine - beautifully performed with gentle guitar rhythms perfectly accompanied by Dave Grohl's voice.
