Advantages: Lots of tasteful Miller arrangements, band vitality Disadvantages: Needs more female vocals
...If you want a gr8 album for a first taste of Miller this is for YOU!
Includes nice male vocals on Elmer's Tune and A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square. Not the gr8est recordings but the sound quality is reasonable and you get all the excitement of a packed to bursting Saturday night dance club jam in the heroic 40's here!
Nice nice classic Miller songs, a surprise or two. This is a budget CD I have bought and listen to from time to time, nice and LOUD with the window down in the car! Yessir!
Definitely a CD for a Miller 'beginner', make a nice gift. Nothing special for your die-hard Miller collectors I guess, but hey:
"Listen, listen - there's a lot you're li'ble to be missin'" if you miss this one! As Elmer himself wull tell you!
Mm, just dig those deep sonorous trombone harmonies and the flutter of muted trumpets contrasting...

Advantages: His sound will last forever, this cd is a classic Disadvantages: Nothing about Fats is a disadvantage
...I cannot find a fault with this artist or cd as how can a man as successful as Fats Domino have any dis-advantages.
This man has done so much for music, coloured musicians what a talented artist, he rates right up there with Elvis, Big Bopper, Richie Valens, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, some of his songs on this cd are better than the artists i have listed above.
This man made more than 20 rthymn and blues records that each sold more than a million copies, his total records sales was just over one hundred million.
His real name was Antoine Fats Domino and born in New Orleans on 26th Feb 1928.
His first ever record was made in 1949 "The Fat Man" and became a gold record in 1953.
He played the piano for Lloyd Price's hit "Lawdy Mrs Clawdy" and stared in 4 films "The Girl Can't Help It" // "Shake Rattle N Roll" // "Jamboree...

Advantages: A truly groundbreaking album that still inspires today Disadvantages: Mainly written by Paul, so not a completely fair representation of all The Beatles abilities
...it constantly, many still do not believe that this is the real inspiration behind the song. It is reminiscent of many Lewis Carrol books, which John and Paul were very interested in. The songs following are classics in their own right: George's first real Indian-influence number, "Within You, Without You" making its mark, and the tongue-in-cheek "Lovely Rita" soon became an anthem for traffic wardens everywhere. Never in the history of music though, had a song like the finale to this album been made. Comprising of two separate songs written by Lennon and McCartney respectively, they were pieced together. A simple concept, but it's the middle eight that gives the song, and therefore the album the edge it holds. A piece of music played by forty musicians in an orchestra "starting at a low note, and reaching the top note in any way they want to...
