If you're looking to study in london then SGUL is a good choice to make, probably second only to Barts.
What attracted me to SGUL first was the amount of sincerity in its press. It offers an education based in the biggest hospital in london , and therefore the biggest amount of departments you can learn from. Everything you need for a medical education is nearby until you come to the inevitable clinicals years when everyone of course moves in and out of campus. Imagine having to travel in from halls for half an hour each way, or having to trek across london to get to see a doctor at Imperial and you'll soon see the advantage this offers. More time to do what you want as well!
Another big plus is the value that SGUL represents to a london student. Saving something between 30 to 70 pounds per week on out of halls rent over places ...
Advantages: Brilliant rooms, service, food, internet etc Disadvantages: expensive!!!
In the middle of February, I was lucky enough to be whisked away for a long weekend in London with my grandma. I?m a huge fan of west end shows and musicals, and so our trip was booked- we would go and see various different shows. I couldn?t wait to go.

I knew the name of the hotel was The Grosvenor, however I didn?t have a clue what its reviews were like, or in fact how many stars it had.
Getting to the hotel
We had absolutely no problem finding the hotel. We took the train from our hometown, to King?s Cross in London. We only had to wait ...
?George?s Marvellous Medicine? was the first of Roald Dahl?s stories which we read to our eldest son. It?s the story of a little boy who has a real stinker of a grandmother. She?s rude and scary and bosses him around all the time. One day George?s mum and dad have both gone out, leaving him alone with his Grandma. George has had enough of Grandma bullying him and so decides to cure her of her cantankerous behaviour with a special potion, which he?ll give her instead of her usual medicine.
He finds an enormous saucepan in the kitchen and lugs it all around the house, essentially putting in a bit of everything he finds [lipsticks and canary seed included!]. He even makes sure he adds some brown paint so that it is the same colour as Grandma?s real medicine! He then boils it up to make sure that everything?s nicely mixed together before ...
