Incredibly original and perceptive lyrics from one Poly Styrene (possibly the most under-rated singer during the Punk era?) show her love / hate relationship with all things plastic and consumer-related. The overall feel of the album is one of modern (in 1977 anyway) consumerism and how we are all interacting with each other with "plastic" feelings. Although written in the 1970's, this is just as true today. After the album was released, the band broke up and went there separate ways. Contains the hit single "The Day The World Turned Day-Glo" - what else do you need to know?
