Album Notes: Sometimes you just can't help but wonder why certain bands "make it" while other more talented combos get overlooked and, ultimately, forgotten. And oftentimes, the bands that fade into obscurity created music that stands the test of time decades down the line. Such is the case with British pop quartet the Farmer's Boys. The band (Baz, Stan, Mark, and Frog) was certainly a bright spot on the music scene back in 1983 when it signed with EMI after a handful of indie singles. Their sound was certainly original: imagine Edwyn Collins and his Orange Juice mates jamming with the Human League's keyboardist (complete with programmed drums) and you've got more than a basic idea. Add a little bit of the Smiths and a dab of country & western, and you've got the Farmer's Boys. GET OUT AND WALK was the band's 1983 debut album, and what a debut it was: it had jangly guitars, jolly melodies, catchy synth riffs, acoustic strums, danceable beats, and--to top it all off--Baz's Morrissey-like croon floating above it all. The album was fun and extremely infectious, with more cool tunes per minute than 75 percent of the albums that came out that year.
Album Reviews: Q (Magazine) (p.123) - 4 stars out of 5 -- "The missing link between Aztec Camera and The Divine Comedy, age has barely withered their charms and their failure remains one of pop's mysteries."

...love.
Against their other albums I would say I like this one more, it's hard to compare them as they're so different. Fall outBoy have definitely changed a lot since writing previous albums.
All of the band members have definitely improved a lot since recording the albums, and I love the new sound that they're creating.

Advantages: Very addictive, nice sense of music and presentation Disadvantages: A little too punkish
...Fall OutBoys are according to me one of the most popular bands on earth. They are just amazing, these people have it all, a good sense of music, audience liking, good sense of style and most of all presentation. their latest album Folie A Deux is a mix of quiet a few songs, these people have a variation in their music, this album covers from slow songs to to downright rock type songs. They have an amazing way of presentation and are not going to leave the business soon, these guys will keep rocking their audiences till they've reached their last breaths. Fall OutBoys are just an amazing band which will definitely get you addicted to their songs and you will just keep wanting to listen to it no matter how many times you have already done it....

Advantages: 500 free days out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Disadvantages: Depending on where you live there may not be lots of ideas
...This pocket sized guide is filled with 500 free days out in Britain. It was first released in 2005 and reprinted in 2006, but I have not found that any of the recommendations are out of date (I mean, none have closed in the meantime).
The book costs £4.99, but you shoudl be able to get hold of a copy much cheaper than this. Mine was only £1.00 from The Works. It's worth the fiver, but obviously the cheaper it is, the better the value.
The book is divided into alphabetically organised sections. It is organised first by country (England first, then Scotland, next Wales, lastly the Republic of Ireland), then by county within that country, again in alphabetical order. The name of the county is written down the side of the page so it's really easy to check you're still looking in the right place, especially on the pages where two counties...
