Well its safe to say that no rapper since 2pac himself has had such exposure and attention that 50 cent has been getting in the past years since he outed his first debut LP "Get Rich Or Die Trying" as the album is aptly titled.

The album is his first debut with the Shady/Aftermath Crew but 50 cent did have albums before this which included the underground classic "Power to the Dollar" and "Guess Who's Back" . Though Underground classics that they were they wernt really commercially successful and at times that what counts so of he went and here we are now 1 Million Buck$ later and 50 cent is down riding with the D.R.E....

The album its self has had a lot of hype surrounding it and I can safely say that it lives up to the high expectations surrounding it. The album is a classic as it contains banging tracks with great production with tight lyrics. The introduction to the album is quite simple as it is a 6 second clip of 50 cent loading a clip into his gun, after this we are then onto the sounds of the first track of the album that being "What up Gangsta" which is a very tight track
with a nice beat. This is a good opening track for the album has a thumping back bass beat which is hot.

Next up we have another great track which features eminem called "Patiently Waiting". The track is also produced by emimem and shows that eminem can "shine" on the producing side as well. Once of the noticable differences in this track is that 50 cents flow is slowed down from his usual, but this makes the track hot its different and sounds good. Eminems part on the track is tight and comes through right, which is pretty much what ya can expect from him. One of My personal favs of the album!

Next track we have is "Many Men" which has a catchy feel to it and is definately a track for the streets. It also has a dark feel to it but sounds great and 50 shines yet again on another great track.

Now the next track needs no introduction as it is the Dre Produced certified club banger "In The Club". The beat is very simplisitic but very effective and hook is catchy, lyrics are banging. A perfect track and perfect first single that was the one that blew 50 up big time.

The 6th Track on the album "High all the time" is old school style
smoke a joint stuff and sounds pretty good but over all one of the slightly weaker tracks on the album! Still very good but just feels lower quality compared to the better track.

The same could be said of "Heat" the beat is really good but a little repetative but again still pretty damn good consistant and the lyrics with the sound of constant loading of a clip sounds tight.

The next track number 8 "If I cant" another well produced Dre track what can you say but excellent. Another dope beat to add to the collection on this album, very addictive beat and flow this is a very hot track and shows 50's confidence as he shines through on this Dre laced track.

Onto track Number 9 "Bloodhound" feat Young Buck of 50's G-unit Clique. The beat on this one is somethin different with every line ending in a bark and it works well, with the addition of young bucks vocals on this track. The track is another hot song and one of my personal favourites.

Track 10 "Backdown" is a diss track aimed at Ja Rule who 50 has had been with for a while now. The track is quite funny and has some good moments, I like the part where 50 says ja sounds like the cookie monster. Not really sure why just makes me chuckle each time I listen to it. Overall a pretty tight track.

Track 11 " P.I.M.P" is another excellent track produced by D12 member Porter. This track is a fantastic track one of my personal favourites, I really like the carrabian beat and 50's flow is on point for this track. (If you like this track look out for the G-unit remix with snoop dogg, how to make a track even hotter, check it out :) )

"Like my style" is another great track and 50's flow on this track is tight and the beat complements. 50 sounds a little southern on the track and even admits it in the track which is all good and with tony yayo making an appearance what more could you ask for.

Track 14 "21 Questions" is one of the more mellow tracks on the album but is still a hot track. This one has 50 teamed up with Nate Dogg. The guitar in the beat is hot and sounds really tight and nates vocals for the hook are on point and sound great. More of a love song, maybe one for the ladies but I am sure everyone can enjoy this one while kicking back a little.

Next track "Dont Push Me" Featuring Lloyd Banks of G-unit and eminem. The track is produced again by eminem and has a dark feel to it. Lloyd Banks comes through really well on this track . Eminem spits hard on this track and sounds fantastic definately one of the better tracks on the album another one of my personal favourites.

Final Track "Gotta Make It To Heaven" beat is alright 50 flow is pretty good on this track but I dont like the beat on this one. This is one of the weaker tracks on the album not one of my favourites.

Onto the Bonus tracks on the album. First up is "Wanksta" and this is one of 50's earlier tracks which is a great track with hot beat and hot flow from 50. "U Not Like Me" is another good track with a dark feel and beat to go with it. 50 flow is real grimey on this track and is hot. Finally "Lifes On The Line" has a really hot beat and 50's flow is hot on this I personally really like this track sounds great, simple beat but effective.

Overall this Album is a excellent first effort from 50 cent and should go down as a classic in years to come. All the tracks on the album are at a good consistant quality with beats and flow! Believe the hype, this album is as good as people claim it to be, cop a copy and listen to it for yourself to decide, but I doubt you will be disappointed!
