This is an exceptional hip hip album, one of the best albums ever. You can play the album from start to finish as there isnt ANY filler on there at all which never ever happens in hip hop albums anymore it is usually stuck to a formula of 1 or 2 party songs for the radio and clubs and the rest is hot stinking garbage but GRODT really has it all, it has the radio/club tracks such as "In Da Club" which is produced by Dr Dre was a massive hit worldwide and everybody seems to be singing along to it!
"If I Cant" is another huge Dr Dre beat and is another one of 50's great sing-a-long tracks, he provides great wordplay and a very catchy chorus.
The rest of the album is laced with fantastic diss records towards Ja Rule such as "Backdown" which is a verbal tirade of abuse toward hip hop crooner and sometimes rapper Ja Rule. He lyrically rips him apart on this track and at the end of the track 50 mocks Ja Rule about being extorted by Suge Knight (Death Row CEO and guy who was in the car when 2Pac Shakur was shot and killed) and that he is scared of him.
"Heat" is another great diss track where 50 basically warns anyone who is thinking of coming at him that he is prepared for them and will take them out with no mercy with lyrics like "I will pop your skull and make your brain pop out the top like a jack in a box".The Dr Dre beat on this track is superb.
He also has grimy street records like "What up Gangsta" and "High All The Time" , "U Not Like Me" , "NYMP" and "Nobody Likes Me" which is a comical track with a serious edge basically saying that he likes it that nobody in the Rap game likes him and that if they step out of line with him, he will be giving them problems.
50 also has a great collaboration with Eminem on "Patiently Waiting" and as if all this wasnt value for money 50 is laced throughout the album with quality beats brought to by none other than hip hop uber producer Dr Dre.
I am a huge hip hop fan and I am not exaggerating when i give this a 10/10 a xxl or 5 mics get it yourself if you havent heard it because not many come along as good as this 1!
If you are new to Hip-Hop or have been living on another planet for the past few years and havent heard this album I highly recommend you do so, you will not be disappointed!
Hope this helps,
Adam
