I really enjoyed watching this DVD! It really shows how far Girls Aloud have come since the early days! I would consider myself to be quite a fan of Girls Aloud. I always liked their songs , but I would never have called them my favourite band. However , over the last couple of years I have come to like them a lot more! I think their songs are better and their image is better and the band as a whole as just got a whole lot better.
So when I received the 'Girls Aloud Newsletter' in form of an email from their website , telling me about the band's latest DVD , I just had to get it!

Girls Aloud are a successful British girl band , consisting of Cheryl Cole (also a judge on The X Factor) , Nadine Coyle , Sarah Harding , Nicola Roberts and Kimberly Walsh.The band burst onto the music scene back in 2002 after winning the ITV talent show ; Popstars The Rivals. At first the girls were popular , but were never taken that seriously. It is only in the last couple of years that they have really proved how great they are , and are now considered as one of Britain's top bands ever! To date the band have had twenty top ten singles. The band have also been the 'face' of many endorsements including the choclate bar 'Kit Kat Senses' which the girls were given a pay cheque each of an estimated £500,000 and also Sunsilk , the hair brand where the band were given £250,000 each. The band is now reported to be worth a total of £25 million! Not bad for a group who were the result of a reality television show.

I really enjoyed watching this DVD! It really shows how far Girls Aloud have come since the early days! I would say that this is definately their best tour to date as there is so much more 'excitement' and suprises compared to their other tours! And it also seems that the band have just grown better and better ; they seem so much more professional and polished thesedays and are much more confident with what they do unlike how they were in the early days when they didn't seem to sure of themselves.

I think that a good selection of songs were chosen. I especially liked their version of Britney Spears' Womanizer ; I thought that even though the beginning from Kimberly seemed a bit 'amateur' and not quite in tune , their vocals blended really well together on the chorus. My favourite performances were of 'Something Kind of Ooh' , 'Sexy No! No! No!' ( as they were so full of attitude) , and I also loved their version of James Morrissons and Nelly Futardo's Broken Strings ; I actually think it's better than the original!

If your a fan of the girls , then you'll definately love this DVD! You'll instantly be able to tell how much they've improved since they first came out! They certainly aren't the best singers (well , Nadine and Nicola are the best) , but they are certainly great performers and know how to put on a show!

I think the way the show was filmed is really good , because you really feel as though your up on stage with the band as you can see them so 'clearly'. I think this DVD is a great investment , especially if you went to see on the shows on the tour as you will be able to keep the DVD as a kind of 'memory'. I think it's also great for those who missed out on actually going to the show! I think you get a much better view from this DVD and it's a lot cheaper to buy the DVD rather than a ticket , although I'm sure it would have been absolutely amazing to have been in the exact same room as Girls Aloud!

I didn't really see the point of the music videos on the 'extra' bit , because the fans will have already seen the videos and if you want to see them , you can type them in on youtube and watch them for free anytime you want. I thought that the choice of 'watching which member you want to see performing a specific song' was quite cool. I especially liked the interview at the end because it allows the viewer to see the band's opinion on the show and how they came up with all the ideas for the tour which I thought was really interesting.

I would definately recommend this DVD to all Girls Aloud fans! Even if you aren't that much of a fan , it still provides excellent entertainment! I myself love watching 'pop stars' in concert , as I find I can pick up tips which can help me with my own singing performances.
