Advantages: NICE ARTICLES Disadvantages: TOO MANY ADVERTS
This is a releatively new magazine to the retailing business and from the magazine title I'm sure you can all have a pretty wild guess at it being a womans mag, all to do with 'glamour'! The magazine is smaller than any other 'lifestyle' mag on the market and only priced at £1.50.
The first issue appeared in April of this year and thats the only issue I've ever bought for certain reasons, which are to follow. My first instincts were, small magazine, (Only A5!) looked kinda cute and easy to fit into my bag if needed, looked interesting and very fat, so probably full of all the latest tips, gossip and stories. (YEY!)
My first issue contained over 300 pages which I thought was very impressive, it took me a while to read, I read the best parts to the magazine as well as all the naff parts so I could write a detailed full length ...

Advantages: Easy to skim over and laugh at! Disadvantages: See below (or maybe I'm getting old)!
and decide. Er?

(That’ll be hard)
“But why?” – you ask ...

Advantages: Affordable, full of celebrity gossip, aimed at all ages of women Disadvantages: Not very much real life stories
I really love reading Glamour. I recently did a review of Cosmopolitan saying it was great, and I'd like to say that I think Glamour is the cheaper version of Cosmo.
It contains loads of celebrity stuff (always with a female celeb adorning the front page), with lots of celeb gossip inside, and interviews with interesting and inspiring celebs. The latest issue featured Katie Price / Jordan and showed her in a completely different light than how she's been represented by newspapers lately, as a lovely mother who's had a tough life. She's been portrayed as an intelligent, feisty woman who's managed to create a brand of herself which is why she's now a millionaire.
Glamour is a lot more fashion and celeb focused than Cosmo, who have a lot more real life articles. Glamour does have some real life things, but generally in the form of a short ...
