Advantages: A true love album Disadvantages: didn't do well as it should have in 1983
...In 1983 Hearts and Bones quietly hit the public record shops, the low sales meant that this cd was a relative “flop” in the musical industry. Due to a lack of publication and advertisements brought on by Paul Simon’s personal problems (The breaking up of his wife) and amongst other things, this record could have been forgotten, but due to the fact that there are so many great songs on this album thankfully it wasn’t.
For me one of Paul Simon’s most personal albums brings a tale of his relationship with Actress Carrie Fisher, the love, the marriage and the painful breaking up. A truly heart breaking album, which to my mind inspires all.
Although only 10 tracks, this is a truly brilliant album, which deserves and I think now has the respect of the all Paul Simons fans and the general public.

Advantages: Great live performances Disadvantages: Not as heavy as studio recordings (more a comment than criticism)
...I have been a fan of the Foo Fighters for many years now, and was eager to get my hands on their live album 'Skin and Bones'. The band were formed by Dave Grohl, the former drummer for Nirvana, in 1995. However, Grohl is the lead singer and guitar maestro for the Foo Fighters, and the drumming seat is taken by Taylor Hawkins, the former tour drummer for Alanis Morrisette.
'Skin and Bones' was released in November 2006, and is the band's first live performance CD, featuring tracks performed on their 3 day tour of the same year. It features hits such as 'Next Year', 'My Hero' and 'Times Like These'. It also features a revamped lineup solely for the tour/album, including former Foo Fighters guitarist Pat Smear.
These are the tracks:
1. Razor
2. Over And Out
3. Walking After You
4. Marigold
5. My Hero
6. Next Year
7. Another...

Advantages: A brilliant collection of songs Disadvantages: Could be seen as over-produced/Comercial, Lacks a bit in the middle
...I am a huge Rush fan, nearly all their albums are fantastic pieces of Rock history, this is no exception. It may have some of Rush's most comercial sounding songs on it, but that doesn't seem to be too much of a problem. It opens with "Dreamline" (the albums heaviest offering) a catchy Rock anthem that gets things started perfectly. Next comes "Bravado" an almost U2 esq. Ballad, in my opinion this is some the finest music Rush have ever produced, the lyrics are extremly poetic and meaningful (Typical Neil Peart). The title track "Roll the Bones", is a catchy funky rock song that contains a slightly comical, possibly sarcastic Rap section (performed by a CGI skelenton on stage). The album begins to lack a bit in the middle, the songs become a little less memorable. A catchy instrumental, and the final track "You bet your life", are other...
