Advantages: SLIPKNOT ARE BACK Disadvantages: Some softer songs
...Another great album from Iowa's 9 piece tribute to pure metal glory. With new and improved masks and a new passion they come back.
The new album, Vol.3 The Subliminal Verses, is both of mixture of Slipknot's past styles, experience and some influence from Corey Taylors other band Stonesour is shown in the vocals of Circle and Vermillion Parts 1 and 2.
Certain tracks as expected hardcore classic slipknot such as Pulse of the Maggots, Duality and Three Nil. But the softer acoustics in Circle do give the album good variety.
Other all, a good album, its not Iowa, buts it is Slipknot after the experience of other albums and live shows. There back and the Pulse of the Maggots has returned.
STAY 666!...

Advantages: Makes all those soppy film ballads a bit more exciting Disadvantages: Makes all those soppy film ballads sound the same
...(A) New Found Glory's second EP, From The Screen To Your Stereo, is a collection of covers of the theme songs from definitive 80s/90s films comprising of:
1. That Thing You Do
2. Never Ending Story
3. I Don't Want to Miss a Thing (from Armageddon)
4. The Goonies 'r' Good Enough
5. The Glory of Love (from Karate Kid 2)
6. (Everything I Do) I Do It For You (from Robin Hood)
7. My Heart Will Go On (from Titanic)
My main problem with Floridian fivesome New Found Glory is that while all their songs are for the most part bouncy and uplifting, they struggle to create any moments of brilliance or ingenuity whatsoever.
Even when covering such an eclectic mix of songs, from the timeless Bryan Adams ballad, 'Everything I Do', to the theme from the seminal children's flick, Never Ending Story, they somehow manage to make these vastly different...

Advantages: New Found Glory rework old film classics Disadvantages: under produced
...New Found Glory relive some of their favorite songs from movie and try to put their own spin on things.
Any band can do covers that sound like the orginal, but to make it your own is a different story. New Found Glory do this wonderfully, they turn a bunch of soppy ballads in to pop punk tunes that you'll have stuck in your head for days.
The sound is rather unpolished, the gurtairs sound dirty and the vocals could do with a little bit of work. You just know this band is meant for greater and bigger things in the furture!
Their covers of "The Never Ending Story song" and "Goonies R Good Enough" was simply awesome, and are the highlights of the ep. Others songs include their covers of cringeworthy Brain Adams "Everything I Do I Do It For You" and Céline "i sound like i strangle cats when i sing" Dions classic "my heart will go on...
