Here We Go Again
Review of Here We Go Again - Wasted by  heideroosjes

Advantages: Quality Punk Music
Disadvantages: None

...Finland’s finest punk export, Wasted, return with a 29-track compilation of 7” material released between 1998 and 2001. Out on the Boss Tuneage label, Here We Go Again captures the band as they were between the abovementioned dates and reminds us of the set standard for the new album when it finally arrives. Wasted started life in Joensuu in late 1996 and, eight years on, are fast becoming a recognised force in the punk genre. Finland rarely figures when people think of Europe, let alone within the punk scene. Located away from most people’s blinkered radar systems, Finland’s prime exports include Formula 1 drivers and footballers but away from this you’d be hard pushed to name anyone else of any importance. If you are going to add anyone else to that list… make it Wasted. Playing more old-fashioned punk than we tend to be... Read review

One pop and away you go.
Review of Samsonite Pop-up Bubble Travel Cot by  vickigroth

Advantages: Light, small and easy to assemble
Disadvantages: expensive

...Overview I bought this travel cot for my daughter after borrowing a friends smaller version and marvelling at the smallness. We travel around the country visiting friends and going on holiday a fair amount but our standard travel cot is very large and bulky. I wanted something that would take up less room in the car but also something that was practical. This fitted the bill completely. It folds to a surprising 30 x 60 x 18cm yet is big enough to take an 18 month old child. In fact my son was 2 when I bought it and he could still have slept in it! Its just like the pop up tents that you get, but with rods to hold its shape and a fold up mattress for the bottom. I've used it many times and never had a problem. I thought that perhaps once my daughter started rolling or walking it would be hard but its comfy so she just goes to... Read review

Pop Go The Weasels
Review of Pop Idol by  stoffy

Advantages: kitsch entertainment
Disadvantages: panellists trying to hard to outnasty 'Nasty Nigel'

...Ah, just what we need from ITV Primetime. Another talent show in a dressing of 'excitement' and 'tension'. 'Pop Idol' is the latest in a series of 'Popstars' clones, which has now given us 'Soapstars' and 'Model Behaviour'. The show gives a forum for all shapes, sizes and races to show off their tonsil talents, before the public inevitably chooses a skinny white girl to receive a recording contract. The first episode screened last night showed the Manchester audition. There were tears of disappointment: 'I'm not going to cry' one contestant said as she spontaneously sobbed onto the carpet. Perhaps more funny was the comedy wannabe who's image was 'cool' according to Dr. Fox, (which means that either the Capital Radio DJ knows something we don't about the Max Headroom revival, or it really is true that he stopped reading...
