I've always been miffed as to why this album hasnt't received much more praise for its originality, sincerity and all-round musical talent. Brad Roberts is simply sublime on each track, each having a catchy differing tempo. This album stimulates the mind and you cannot listen it passively (i.e like so much music in the charts today which could be played on the radio and they're over before you know it as they don't grab your attention). ...to relate to what the lyricist is on about. Lyrics such as "How does a duck know what direction south is, or how to tell his wife from all the other ducks" (lyrics taken from track 8), only appear once in a lifetime. Everyone will remember "Mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm", however this album is crawling with songs written in the same vein ('In the Days of the Caveman', 'I Think I'll Disappear now' etc.) Still available worldwide, its so worth buying. That didn't remotely prepare me for the rest of the album, because,'God Shuffled His Feet', is one of those closer to what I would consider normality. This music is very catchy, you will more than likely find yourself humming it all day. I feel the Crash Test Dummies are not as widely known as they should be. My favourite song on this one is, 'In The Days Of The Caveman', all about life and what we did and didn't have, and the characteristics we share with the apes and monkeys.
