BACKGROUD:
To me Nas is different to alot of rappers out there today, his music is driven by belief and strong emotion that enable's his songs to touch everyone who listens. No doubt from evidence from his past and present albums, Nas aka Nasir Jones is a religious individual and this is mostly noticable in his fairly new album 'God son'.
Nas himself has been through many high and low experiences, from his not so long ago feud with Jay-z, to the ... ...cancer. All these elements have attacked his possition on the streets as king of New York as well as affecting his heart. You would think that all this would break a rapper down, but not Nas, in fact this in someway has made him a stronger both embracing both his craft and his spirit and delivering it all in this great spiritual album.
