Harry Potter undDie Kammer Des Schreckens is the german translation of the second book in the very popular Harry Potter series by JK Rowling. I have been a huge fan of Harry Potter ever since I read the first couple of books not long after they've been released, and have loved it ever since. I am also a bit of a foreign language geek and am currently studying spanish and german, and decided that a good way to improve my language ability would be to read a book in one of these languages. Since I was already a fan of Harry Potter, making it easy to follow the book even when I didn't exactly understand, and since foreign language translations of it were readily available to purchase online, books in this series were an obvious choice for me. I chose to buy the first two books (the Philosopher Stone and the Chamber of Secrets) in German ...

And not only because its got a VERY sexy Bruce Willis running around!!!! The film has been on TV alot recently, possibly promoting the new Die Hard 4.0 film, and I was (forced!!) to watch it with my husband, I didn't want to...its not my kind of film, but when we watched it, I found it amazing!!!
Yes some of the acting of the foreign men (Karl), isn't wonderful, but other than that, the film is amazing! The story line is gripping, the characters are played wonderfully by the actors, and theres the right amount of comic factors in there to make it light hearted whilst still been a good action film!

Or She Dies has been my introduction to author Gregg Hurwitz. My daughter recently bought me this book knowing how much I like Harlan Coben novels, and thought I would maybe like Gregg Hurwitz.

Gregg Hurwitz has written a number of bestsellers, although the titles of some have been changed for the UK.
While completing a BA from Harvard ('95) and a master's from Trinity College, Oxford in Shakespearean tragedy ('96), he wrote his first novel. He has also written screenplays for Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Paramount Studios, MGM, and ESPN, developed TV series for Warner Bros and Lakeshore, written Wolverine, Punisher, and Foolkiller for Marvel, and published numerous academic articles on Shakespeare.
He now lives in L.A.
