A greatest hits collection from the much underrated 90's indie band fronted by Rick Witter. A very good album featuring all of the band's biggest hits.
If you're a fan of Britpop acts like Oasis, Cast, Elastica, Sleeper etc you should definately get this album.
I have never bought any Shed Seven records before this and was surprised at just how many tracks I recognised. There are several great sing-a-long anthems like "Getting Better" and "Going for Gold" as well as reflective ballads like "Ocean Pie".
I would recommend this album over the other compilation of Shed Seven's songs "the collection" as Going for Gold includes the big singles "Chasing Rainbows" and "On Standby" which do not feature on "the collection".
