this is the second album by the manics, they later said that they probobly shouldn't have made it and it never met the critical aclame that their first album did (Generation terrorists) or that their third album would later recive (The holy bible). It seems to me that it is a good mixture of the styles that the 1st and 3rd album contain. It ha the general anger and discontentment with the world that Generation Terrorists has but also the heart breaking depression of the holy bible. La tristesse Durea is i think most peoples fav track but Roses in the hospital has also got to be up there. If you are an early manics fan then i sujest you get this one.
