Gold - Burning Spear

Advantages: It's just brilliant
Disadvantages: it's too short

...Being a Burning Spear fan, since 1987, when i saw them perform an London's Astoria, the first time i listened to this album, i wasn't disappointed! Winston Rodney has THE soothest voices that I've ever heard. Maybe it's just in accord with my personal wavelength, or maybe some of you have experienced the same side effects, but when i listen to this guy, I'm completely hypnotised. Amazing. No need to smoke one, it's natural vibrations! For me the Burning Spear reference album is , with this one just behind, in second position. The lyrics are great, the music is really well orchestrated with a huge range of different instruments, and with Burnings Spears' wonderful voice, it's like paradise on earth for my ears. ...', 'Silence' to 'Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)'. With 43 tracks, and considering you can buy this album for about £13 with some bargain hunting, or maybe even less, the value per money per song is phenomenal, especially as, if you do buy it, it is likely to be because you would have bought some of the singles by themselves at up to £4 each, so, as I said, the value is immense. The album also features some remixes of songs that I had previously not heard, including the Architechs' 'Body Groove' song, which interested me in particular. Of course this album won't be for everyone. It is mostly aimed at people who like general pop and a bit of dance with it, hence artists such as Kylie Minogue and Britney Spears appearing on the album, although hard-core dance fans will appreciate it too, with less-well known artists such as Marc Et Claude and CRW...
