Advantages: Great if you love Bob Marley
Disadvantages: Some good songs absent

...Peter Tosh is probably best known as a founding member of 'The Wailers'. A typical Jamaican kid who dreamed of Reggae stardom and found sucess after meeting Bob Marley and the other founding members of the band. I'm not a huge expert on the man so if you want more details look else where, but I thought as noone else had done a review of him I should write something. This album is a collection of his solo work which never really charted that highly although he took part in a few big name tours. The album starts with a great cover of Chuck Berry's Johnny B Goode probably his most successful chart hit. After that follows the usual supply of anti-war and pro-cannabis songs. The man's quality shines throughout the album proving himself not just as an excellent singer/lyricist but also a talanted guitarist to boot.... Read review

...As a child born in the 80's I have come to adore the music of the time, I'm always on the lookout for a good compilation CD and happened to spot this one during a shopping trip in Asda. Flipping the CD over to look at the track listing my eyes were drawn to one track and I didn't need to read the rest to know I had to have the CD. Capital Gold Eighties Legends contains songs by just that, 80's legends. There is a wide variety of artists providing a wide range of styles from pop to rock, Motown style and funk. It is a 2 disc CD providing 40 great 80's tunes. Because it is an 80's compilation, and most of us would have either heard the songs or heard of them, I wont go into a track by track description, that would spoil the fun of going out to buy the album and getting the know the songs yourself. ...Peter Gabriel 5 (So)… For those of you out there who don’t know who Peter Gabriel is here is a short history. He was born in London in 1950 on the thirteenth of February he started his musical career with the progressive rock band Genesis their first release was called “From Genesis to Revelations” in 1969, this album was produced by the now infamous Jonathan King and is the only album in their back catalogue that isn’t available form the bands website remember this album was made when all the band members had just left public school and had never played the music live so for all you followers of Genesis be warned, as I write this the collection is about to be re-issued by the label “Edsel” with a bonus disc of outtakes, for those of you lucky enough not to have heard this Gabriel’s...
