Advantages: All The Major Hits
Disadvantages: Three New Tracks Which Are All Very poor

...Lisa, Claire, Lee and Faye….. Steps and H...sorry I forgot him first time around but then thats easily done..lol. With a huge string of hits under their belts they have now released Gold, their greatest hits album. Steps have gone from strength to strength both musically and style wise, proved to everyone that they can keep up with any new comers and still produce number one hits. Gold boasts 20 tracks, 3 of which are new, so here is a rundown of what you will get on Gold: ~~ 1.Tragedy (Released 6th November 1998 , peaked at 1) ~~ An excellent remix of the old Bee Gee’s track, this modern version was huge and gave Steps their truly deserved first number 1, complete with wacky dance called the shampoo, it was a must for every Christmas party that year and remained popular long after. ~~2. ...Steps Gold. Sounds vaguely familiar to Abba Gold. And to a lesser extent, Gold: the very best of Perry Como (R.I.P). For my first opinion in (does some quick arithmetic) 53 days (ok that took quite a while to work out!), I thought I'd write about my favourite members of Planet Pop. The all singing (well except Lee) all dancing, all glittery Kings and Queens of cheese. First, a little background: - Steps are: H (Ian Watkins), Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer, Lee Latchford Evans and Claire Richards. - Steps had their first hit way back in November 1997, the now cringeworthy homage to line dancing that was 5,6,7,8. Went down in history as the biggest selling single of the 90s to never make the top 10. - Heartbeat/Tragedy spent 8 weeks in the top 10 before reaching the number 1 spot, and went on to spend a colossal 15 weeks...
