Advantages: Great tunes Disadvantages: Not a lot of info on sleeve notes
...Please excuse my terrible title, but it's true. Although this has been released for many years now, I picked it up at HMV last weekend after hearing a SmokeyRobinson track in a cafe. It was great value, at £9.97 for the 3 disc set. It was quite hard to find, tucked away in the compliations section, but I knew what I was looking for and didn't have to fight over it with anyone!
I was not disappointed with the CDs. This compliation contains all the great hits as well as a few tracks you don't hear quite as much. Tamla Motown refers to the hits created by the Motown Record label, in this case (mainly) in the 60s-70s. It was known as the sound of young America, and the distinctive sound typifies the era.
It contains around 79 tracks over 3 CDs. I presume it's chronological, although this is not stated overtly. The sleeve notes...
