Advantages: Supose it would be ok for background music Disadvantages: Not the all time greats one would expect
...Not a great fan of these albums in the slightest. I can be over critical where music is concerned as it is my main hobby and has been since i was around five. I am an avid collector of vinyls and cd's and love everything and anything from 1942 to present day....but i would give this album a miss.
If you go into some of the old time market halls and you are lucky enough (or unlucky enough, depends which way you look at it) to have a cd stall, you can find albums like this one.
They are produced using the original group's recordings that was probably recorded a long time after they actualy had a hit with it, thats how you can pick these albums up for a few quid.
I am not saying that this is how this one is produced, but there isnt many well known tracks for the average listener. There is "under the moon of love...curtis lee, mona...

...in the mid 70's, but they came from everybody's least favourite grandfather, Mick Jagger, the grand old (original) bad boy of rock. Who would have thought, way back in 1962, when some Londoners started hanging around together and gigging, that almost forty years together the nucleus of that band would still be around in one form or another as (sarcastic sneer) 'The World's Greatest Rock And Roll Band'. Indeed, in those days, the band saw themselves very much as an r'n'b band and would have been mortified to find themselves defined as being rock'n'roll.
