Advantages: Great acoustic music
Disadvantages: some tracks are not how you know them

...I don't often listen to Radio 1, but this one time I did, they were playing only tracks recorded in the live lounge - And I Loved It. the songs were not remastered and you could hear the lyrics and music without all the extras that make some people buy their tracks. The copies by artists of other artists songs are of superb quality, and some really make it their own. When I listen to them I just love the fact that they are live recordings with no additionals. Its great that artists are comfortable with singing live, acoustic, and other peoples songs. By listening to the tracks you can tell which artists can sing and which artists definately need to remaster their tracks to sell their singles/albums. Or which need to lip synch for their live gigs. Disadvantages: NOT ENOUGH SPACE TO JOT THEM ALL DOWN...

...Okay, from the first you can tell that I'm displeased with this cd... so where do I begin? This cd is a mish-mosh compilation of lengthy, tedious and yawn inducing songs. Don't get me wrong, I love music, I even love most of the bands on the double cd's... so where did it all go horribly wrong? Probably the publicity on television. A great fan of Snow Patrol, The Kooks, Razorlight, Keane and Lily Allen... (those that appeared in the tv ad), I expected the music on the 2 cd's to flow... instead everything seemed to collide and crash with great songs being followed by uninspirational noise (was that music?)... oops... There is no flow... and very little enjoyment. This is a case of Radio 1 trying to make a quick buck. I confess that after an hour, I got fed up of fast-forwarding to the next song, and buried this cd under my cd... Read review

...the live lounge CD from radio 1 is formed my covers from other artists found on the jo whiley show. The CD shows the raw talent of some of the uk's new and upcoming artists. This CD also shows songs done in different ways, an intresting change to the songs you enjoy to listen to, and also making you love a song that before you could not stand to listen to. This CD contains 2 CD's so is full of tracks, 40 overall. the songs are done by jo whiley having bands on her show where they preform a version of there current single and then a cover. all done live. Some of the tracks on this album are an instant hit, but some can wreck your love for certain songs. a must buy, a new change for music.... Read review
