Advantages: A geat selection of the good old songs Disadvantages: design on the cd could have been better
...Me being me i am a sod for buying albums with the good goldenoldies on them. So as soon as this hit the shops i bought it. I paid £12.99 for it. And in my opinion is money well spent. I could not wait to get home and stick it on and when i did i was not dissapointed one bit. With artists on it like.
Chad Kroeger (alright new artist but still good)
Queen
Roy Orbison
Meat Loaf
and Mr Mister
Also tacks like.
Hero
Drove all night
The best
and Hard to say i'm sorry
i'm sure you won't be dissapointed.
Retailing from £10.99-£14.99 i think is a fair price for the amount of hours of fun you will have with this.
This has got to be one of the best ballads album that has ever been made....

Advantages: A great choice of songs, given wonderful renditions Disadvantages: A couple of slightly weak tracks
...You may know John Barrowman for his exquisite rendition of 'Night and Day' in the film De-Lovely. Or maybe for revealing almost all in the newest version of Doctor Who. Or perhaps you have childhood memories of him as a presenter of Live and Kicking and the Movie Game on Children's BBC. But he is most at home on the musical stage, whether in cabaret or treading the boards on Broadway or the West End. This CD includes numerous songs which he has sung on stage but not previously recorded, as well as a number of others that he just happens to like. Accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra, the songs are given a grand treatment, just as they would do live on stage. The majority of the songs are from 'modern' musicals (from the 1980s and 1990s), but there are a few goldenoldies thrown in as well.
The CD design is simple...

Advantages: Hard hitting, fast, fun, and loud music. Disadvantages: 50 Foot Wave is not music that everyone will dig.
...and fun. Their first full length album is Golden Ocean.
The Album
The crew headed to LA to record Golden Ocean under the production of Ethan Allen (no, not that one, this one, Fun Fact #3). The album itself was recorded in the summer of 2004 and released earlier this year. All the members of the band share equal credit on songwriting, unusual but honorable in today's music industry.
I will tell you straight up that to really get into this album you must like raw, punky music with lots of energy. Golden Ocean is pure energy. 50 Foot Wave as a sound will not suit everyone's taste. The first run through the album you might find something that catches your ear and next thing you know you are listening to it over and over. Golden Ocean is infectious as athlete's foot in the YMCA shower. The energy and vibe put off by 50 Foot Wave...
