There's Moonlight in Vermont sung by Ella Fitzgerald. If you haven't heard her sing, hear this song and you'll know why Ella Fitzgerald is so well-loved to this day by people from all over the year.
Prisoner of Love by Teddy Wilson is good, solid jazz fare. A simple rhythm, slightly muted trumpet and lilting piano. Eventually, the music is joined by a female singer with a voice that is slightly reminiscent of Mae West.

11) Santas list, this is Cliffs new song for this year and the words are as ever brilliant.
12) When a child is born, this 70s song always remind me of its orginal singer and I do not think that anyone can touch old Johnny Mathis.
13) Come to us, another song that has been edited and dubbed and music added.
14) The Christmas song, By nearly getting to the end of this cd, I am now finding that all the new songs are beginning to sound the same, sorry Cliff.
15) We should be together, a bit of a slow one and the title tells you all.

...Firewater made albums throughout the late 90's and early 2000's and they made some pretty good stuff but nothing compares to the new album "TheGolden Hour", back in 2004, the singer A. Todd (formerly of Cop Shoot Cop) split up with his wife and was dumped by his record company. Todd packed his bags and headed out on a 3 year trip of Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey and Israel. He had originally intended to go to Afghanistan but due to bombings and danger, he only got as far as the Karkorum Highway. He suffered illness and robbery on his trip but also had a great time playing with plenty of talented local musicians.
The songs on this album were written during that trip and have a distinct flavour, the basis of them were written with a collection of musicans and have been re-done for the album with an array of talent including...
