The songs are all pretty short , typical of it's punk roots , but they all crackers! The opening track "Superman" sets the mood for the rest ... ...of all , good! The next track is called "My Head" and it's a really awesome song , it has some amazing guitar work and is the best produced song on the album.
"If only" is the next song , it's a chilled out track with pretty cool lyrics , he's wondering if he was a bit better would the girl want him. "if only I was eighteen , had the courage of the A-team maybe then you'd be with me" Thats Shakespeare quality stuff!
Most of the songs on the ablum ...

Goldfinger – Hang-ups
I’ve just got this album and all I can really say about it is dude!!
It may not be my favourite goldfinger album, but it is totally awesome! It’s an amazing example of goldfinger’s brilliance and after you hear this you can see why they are one of my favourite bands. The album has some pretty emotional songs juxtapositioned with some songs that are equally brilliant but are just cool fun silly songs, ... ...– this was the second goldfinger song I ever heard (99 red balloons was the first) and I was quite naive at the time I never thought they were a ska band but I really liked it and it got me into them. The opening always reminded me of the big breakfast theme (ahh the nostalgia). It’s quite a melancholic song with some comedic phases, which do nothing but add to its quality. Overall a great song by a great band (8/10)

Advantages: A couple of incredibly strong tracks are present on this album. Disadvantages: For the most part the music is extremely average here.
...Goldfinger has been active as a band now since 1994. I first heard the music of this band back in 1999 through playing the Playstation game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater; I was not at all disappointed and this did in fact lead me to buying the bands 'Hang-Ups' album shortly after. In February 2005 the band released its fifth studio album in the form of 'Disconnection Notice', a twelve track offering of pop punk which is put across quite well by the band. This is by no means the best album that Goldfinger has ever released as a band; it is however an album that contains a number of interesting and energetic songs that are always good fun to listen to.
This 'Disconnection Notice' album begins strongly with 'My Everything', a powerful punk rock song which really gets the ball rolling. This is an incredibly powerful track, always I love...

Advantages: Wonderful, diverse and emotive album full of catchy songs and brilliant lyrics Disadvantages: A bit too heavy in some cases
...This has got to be one of my favourite albums of all time. It was one of my first and is still one of my favourites today. They have a very unique take on the ska punk scene which can almost be described as being overly cheesy, yet it works really well and creates some classic songs which are entirely unforgettable.
Stomping Ground is Goldfinger at their best, forget Hang-Ups or Open Your Eyes, Stomping Ground is their best by far. It is true to say that there are some good songs on these other albums, but that is all and as a whole they are quite weak. The same cannot be said for Stomping Ground. Every song on the album reeks of quality and there are certainly no weak links.
Once the CD is in the album bursts into life with 'I'm down' which has a very powerful lead guitar and a memorable chorus full of emotion. The lyrics...
