Additional notes
Album Notes: The doyenne of folk and blues singers for over 50 years, Odetta has influenced artists like Bob Dylan and Joan Baez and blazed a trail both for civil rights in America and human rights internationally. GONNA LET IT SHINE, recorded live at New York's Fordham University, is a sampling of the holiday spirituals that have made up a small part of her concert repertoire over the decades. Her voice remains surprisingly unweathered by time, and the warmth and empathy generated by her performances on songs like like the transporting "Mary Had a Baby," the exuberant "What Month Was Jesus Born In" and the delightful "Shout for Joy," is palpable.
Album Reviews: Dirty Linen (p.65) - "[A]n amazing collection of spirituals....[E]ach of the album's 15 songs is a marvel in its own way....Amazing."

...on Thanksgiving Day by getting up on to a stool and playing the piano. Growing up, he pursued his music, and is well known in Nashville as a session musician and concert pianist, playing with many of the big names on the music scene there, such as Porter Wagoner and Bill Gaither, with whom he is performing in Belfast and Glasgow in early March 2008. He has been nominated for Piano/Keyboard Player of the Year by the Academy of Country Music for three straight years, and most recently has been nominated for various Gospel music awards. The one thing that is unmistakeable about Gordon Mote however is his Christian faith that shines through all his music, which is why he was on the Michael Card show. There is a complete absence of self-pity, and instead you get...

..., its cover was original and influential, etc. But is the music any good? Well, Pepper almost always appears on top album lists, often at number one, and is widely considered the Beatles' masterpiece. It is their top-selling album after Abbey Road, and the songs on the album are among the best the Beatles ever did.
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band acts as the introduction to a concert by Sgt. Pepper's band, with sounds of audience applause and laughter. Paul starts the song off by introducing "the act you've known for all these years," then John and George join in by greeting the audience. "We're Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band/ We hope you will enjoy the show/ Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band/ Sit back and let the evening go." This song ends with Paul saying that the singer, Billy Shears, will be singing a song, then we...

Ok first before the real body of the review...Who are jet?
Well Jet are an Australian Punk/grunge/hard/pub rock band, with hits from their first album such as "Will you be my girl" and "Rollover DJ", this is a follow up to that album (Get Born-2003). They took the name from the Wings song.
The album opens with the very short track "L'espirit D'escalier" which is basically a sample of the final track more than anything and lasts for about 23 seconds. Perhaps unfair to class it as a trackl as such, but if you do you cant really rate it at all. 1/10 (or N/A tbh)
Holiday opens the album properly with a steady and strong musical interlude before Nic Chester (the lead singer) vocal's kick in with a disturbingly indie feel which suits the rough sound of the song. A catchy chorus...
