While most SY fans, including myself, will point to the majesty of Goo's predecessor Daydream Nation as their creative masterpiece, Goo is easily the band's most accessible album and a great starting point for any new listener. Following on from the band's earlier work, the songs on Goo were less experimental (argued by some ... ...each of the tracks on Goo stands alone with a feel different to the others: opener "Dirty Boots" has a dirty blues feel to its delivery while "Kool Thing" - supposedly aimed at LL Cool J - features a contribution (somewhat phoned-in) from Chuck D and the epic "Tunic (song for Karen)" is a masterpiece of it's own.
